LOL. Here's a NOVEL CONCEPT. Why don't you guys find a stock that's already uptrending, wait for a low volume pullback...THEN BUY?

yeah lower relative (to the run-up) volume...pullback into the EMA10/SMA30 zone..like on DRYS 12/23 at 9.60..you get the run to almost 17...bunches of stocks do this,so many ways,so little time...radar the ones at the upper bollinger band, you'll see

Eman93. That is good advice from 13th. I too like the bollinger bands to tell me how strong a stock is if I'm looking to buy. I like to look for stocks where price is consistently tagging the upper bollinger band. I then wait for a low volume pullback. But here's where I do things a little differently and I've had good success with it. I like to simply wait for at least a 7 day low before buying and the price should be closer to the 20 period SMA than the upper bollinger band when this low happens.

MAX: you would then miss moves like WFMI, or do you have another method to catch these types moves?
